In the name of Jesus

Silver and gold I do not have but…

Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

Acts 3:6-7 NJKV

How amazing would it be for the church to return her former self? Walking in love… in unity… being directed by the Holy Spirit… being a conduit of God’s love for mankind. I wonder how different the world would look today if only we, the church, weren’t divided by religion, politics, woke-ness… whatever.

So what can I do when so much is out of my control? I can do my part… surrendering daily to the leading of the Holy Spirit… repenting quickly of my sins (which are many), choosing to walk in love, keeping my eyes fixed on Jesus and not the failing world around me, washing my mind daily in the Word of God, sharing what I learn from the Word, oh and asking daily for God to use me to point people to Jesus. Not that I get this right, but I am trying to be more intentional. People need to know there is POWER in the name of Jesus. We can get up and walk out of depression, out of fear, out of un-forgiveness, out of unhealthy cycles, out of anger, out of resentment, out of addiction, out of demonic control! People need to know Jesus still heals! He is still active in transforming our lives no matter what we face. They just need someone to tell them! Be that someone!
